Simple Rice with Herbs
1 ½ cups rice
1 ½ cups water or broth
2 tablespoon butter or olive oil
¼ cup chopped soft herbs, like thyme, basil or chives
salt, if using water instead of broth
1 ½ cups water or broth
2 tablespoon butter or olive oil
¼ cup chopped soft herbs, like thyme, basil or chives
salt, if using water instead of broth
Instructions:
Place the rice, broth and 1 tablespoon of the butter in a rice cooker, and turn on. When the rice cooker stops, allow the rice to sit for a few minutes. Then toss with the remaining butter or olive oil and herbs and serve.
