“Guy’s Grocery Games” Takes the Competition to the Supermarket
Melissa will appear as a reoccurring judge on Food Network’s new primetime competition show, “Guy’s Grocery Games.”
Hosted by Guy Fieri and airing Sunday nights at 8pmET/PT starting October 20, each episode will have four talented chefs competing against one another in three cooking challenges that will require them to navigate the aisles against real-life shopping challenges. Each round will be judged by a rotating list of judges including Melissa d’Arabian, Richard Blais, Beau MacMillan, Jet Tila, Marcela Valladolid and Catherine McCord, among others. The last chef remaining will get to go on a shopping spree, with just two minutes to collect all the items on his or her shopping list. Melissa serves as a judge in today’s episode where the chefs must first find a way to make amazing surf and turf dinners using only canned foods. Then in the second challenge, Guy tells the chefs to ditch their carts and gather as many ingredients as they can using only their hands to make a soup and sandwich combo. The final two chefs get Guy’s grocery list of diverse ingredients and must make their best steakhouse dinner for the last challenge. The winner earns the chance to go on the Super Shopping Spree.
