Guy’s Grocery Games: “James Beard Nominess on Triple G”
Melissa is back as a reoccurring judge on Food Network’s hit primetime competition show, “Guy’s Grocery Games.”
About the show: Four talented chefs compete in supermarket-themed cooking challenges as they must navigate their way through the aisles, adhering to “real-world” obstacles doled out by host Guy Fieri. Whether it is shopping on a budget, substituting out-of-stock ingredients or grabbing groceries at closing time, the contenders have to shop, prepare, and plate three different dishes using whatever they can pull off the shelves. Ultimately, the food does the talking, as one-by-one the losing chefs “check out,” with the last chef standing going on a shopping spree of a lifetime worth up to $20,000!
In this episode: Four James Beard-nominated chefs use their exceptional culinary skills to make an hors d’oeuvre featuring instant ramen noodles. Then, these high-end chefs have to make a five-star seafood dinner with a ridiculously low budget. The finalists learn that creating a dish featuring one ingredient, prepared two different ways, using items from three aisles, is not as easy as 1, 2, 3. The winner is awarded up to $20,000 in the Triple G Shopping Spree.
Judges: Melissa d’Arabian, Brian Malarkey, Aida Mollenkamp
