“Guy’s Grocery Games” Takes the Competition to the Supermarket
Melissa will appear as a reoccurring judge on Food Network’s new primetime competition show, “Guy’s Grocery Games.”
Hosted by Guy Fieri and airing Sunday nights at 8pmET/PT starting October 20, each episode will have four talented chefs competing against one another in three cooking challenges that will require them to navigate the aisles against real-life shopping challenges. Each round will be judged by a rotating list of judges including Melissa d’Arabian, Richard Blais, Beau MacMillan, Jet Tila, Marcela Valladolid and Catherine McCord, among others. The last chef remaining will get to go on a shopping spree, with just two minutes to collect all the items on his or her shopping list. Melissa will judge today’s episode where for the first game, Guy gives the chefs a small budget to create big, tasty grilled cheese sandwiches for four. How will they get the most bang for their buck? Then the chefs are challenged creatively when they make unusual desserts from the ingredients in the meat, seafood and dairy aisle. And, in the spirit of the season, the final two chefs shop the aisles to make their best holiday dish with delicious sides. But Guy swaps their bags of ingredients when they return.
