Perfect Easter Eggs

1 dozen eggs
Oil (Vegetable or Olive)
Various colored dyes (pink, yellow, blue)
Instructions:

Lay the eggs in a single layer in a large saucepan. Cover with cold water by at least 1 inch. Bring to a simmer over low heat and cook for 1 minute. Cover with a lid, turn off the heat and allow the eggs to sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water.

For marbleized eggs: Die eggs with assorted light colors like pink and yellow (each egg should be one color). Drizzle oil into a bowl of contrasting dye (such as blue). Pick up egg with tongs and gently roll through the contrasting dye. Allow to dry on cooling rack.
