Why I Work to Feed Hungry Children In America, Plus an All American Meatloaf (click the title to read the blog!)

I spent most of my week in Washington, DC and Charlotte, NC supporting No Kid Hungry and their efforts to feed our children’s hungry. I’ve talked a lot about my this organization, but not many people know the real reasons behind my passion for eradicating childhood hunger.

I work on behalf of No Kid Hungry because I myself received free lunch as a kid. I know what it’s like to be hungry in a classroom, and I know how amazing it is to have someone care enough to notice and find a way to get me a meal. As long as I work in the food industry, am a mom, and live in this great country, I will continue to work to connect kids with food.
